COURSES: Participation Courses Guest Chef Demonstrations

Participation Courses
At Tante Marie's Cooking School, we believe the best way to learn is to actually do the cooking yourself with a small group of fellow students, (no more than 16.) At the beginning of each class the chef will explain the theory and demonstrate the techniques of what is to be cooked in the class, using recipes as guidelines. The students then cook together and usually sit down to a three or four course meal. The classes are a lot of fun!

Guest Chef Demonstrations
One of the highlights of Tante Marie's Cooking School is the demonstrations (usually Wednesday afternoons) by local chefs and cooking teachers. Here the students (no more than 35) learn by watching the professional prepare several dishes and explain the cooking of their native country or their specialty such as chocolate or cake decorating. You may also sign up for the regular demonstrations for the professional students which are given by Tante Marie’s chef/instructor on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons by calling 415.788-6699. There is always a lot to learn!
