The reason Malcolm's classes are so popular, is that he is a thoughtful and patient teacher and the food you cook under his guidance is delicious. Not only that, but you will have fun with the other students. The theme here is Italian foods of spring. Some of the dishes the class will make are Fava Bean Pesto Crostini with Mint, Buffalo Mozzarella and Pea Shoots; Pizza Bianca with Asparagus, Ricotta, and Spring Onions; Seared Tuna with Artichokes, Lemon, and Capers; Grilled Pork Chops with Salsa Verde and Baked Zucchini; and Ricotta Gelato with Strawberry Passito Sauce. In San Francisco, summer comes early! Here, you can come take a tour of the San Francisco Ferry Plaza Farmers Market with Jen on Saturday and learn how to select the very best fruits and vegetables of the season. Then, you and your fellow students will come back to School to prepare delicious dishes with the fresh produce. (Although some of the dishes may include seafood or poultry, this One-Day Workshop is quite suitable for vegetarians.) Together, you will be making such recipes as Triple Creme Bruschetta with Poached Cherries and Hazelnuts; Sweet Pea Pancakes with Crab and Red Onion Creme Fraiche; Spring Vegetable Salad with Farro and Meyer Lemons; Fregola with Roast Chicken and Tomatoes; and Strawberry Ice Cream with Biscotti.
